5 years ago today I got on one knee and asked my girlfriend to marry me in Paris. We were visiting a few European countries with our families and despite being together for only 4 months I couldn’t let an opportunity like this pass. France was the last country we would visit. On May 9th 2013, we woke up in Paris, had breakfast at the hotel and headed to the Nortre-Dame, the Sacred Heart Basilica of Montmartre, the Arc de Triomphe and ended our day at the Eiffel Tower, right before sunset. We went up to the highest level of the tower but I was waiting to come back down and have the French capital’s most beloved landmark be the background to this once in a lifetime event. With our closest family members and friends around and on a beautifully-green grass field I got on one knee and asked my now wife of 3 years to marry me. She never answered because of the shock and instead went ahead and called me crazy, that was her way of saying yes 🙂 We celebrated in a French Cafe then took the silhouette photo on this blog post. Enjoy some photos from our trip, we visited Portugal, Spain, Belgium, England, France, Germany and Amsterdam.
